Black History Month: Congratulations Barack Obama

Greetings from the land of artikleblak.
Well America, America has spoken!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last time I blogged was on the eve of the Presidential election and it looks like my prediction was right on the money honey.
THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, MR. BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
And what a beautiful First Family!!!
Paint it black, paint it!!!! lololol...
The morning of the inauguration I was in tears. I watching history unfold in realtime, alone and in solace. When the Queen of Soul sang I had tears in my eyes.
One a moment. A moment in time I was alive to witness. Amazing America. Amazing!
Now it is time to get to work and assist in anyway we can to repair the despair the Bush years left behind.
I believe our new president is up to the challenge. He has an amazing supporting cast for the most part.
If there any more folks who missed or messed up the taxes, they gotta, gotta go!
Sorry Daschle, u f%cked up! And there is no place in the "O Team" for such stupid doings.
Wow is feels amazingly good to turn on CNN and hear the commentators say "Today President Obama......." Sooooooooooooooooooooo amazing for all Americans!
And a touch more overwhelming to Black folks here and around the world!
Obamania is sweeping the globe and rightly so.
This man understands people. Whether they are White or Black or Muslim or Asian or poor or any and everything else, because he is much of all these.
So he is empathetic because it runs through his veins.

A Historical Presidential Election: Black Man for President & Femal VP Nominee
A Historical Presidential Election: Black Man for President & Femal VP Nominee.
Greetings.
artikleblak chiming in on the eve of the most important president election of my lifetime.
My blog has been on hiatus since Sept.
However I have been following this election closely.
Today in less then 18 hours Americans will have decided who shall be this country's 44th president of the United States of America.
I believe the decision is a clear one and America will decide Mr. Barack Obama is better suited to take over the reins of this country which is in a deep economic downturn.
I have always said African-Americans are an important thread in the fabrica of American society.
A thread strong, whether frayed or stitched to perfection.
When America has spoken, I will speak to America.
Goodnite and get out and vote!!!!

Sarah Palin for VP, 47 day till election

Greetings from artikleblak's little corner of the world.
Been workin, workin, workin.
These gas prices are no fukin joke!
47 days till the November election and I am forecasting a slight Sarah Palin trainwreck.
I respect her as a woman, mother, wife and governor.
However I think her views are to extreme for most Americans, once they stop, look and listen.
With her not knowing the "Bush Doctrine" and running for the vice presidency of the United States of America, should speak volumes!!!
If they win, God forbid something happens to John McCain.
The United States is not Wasila, nor is it AK.
And I don't think she would be prepared to take the reins of the Whitehouse.
As for Barack. FINALLY!!! Showin some fight, some get tuff with these mf Repubs!!
If u have to.....bring out a little bite of the Southside of the Chi......
47 days and counting.
Any and everyone has to ask themselves, " What am I gonna do the be part of this historical presidential election?
Hey Sarah! "Toot toot, I hear a train a coming..........."
Peace and Obama-grease,

GOP St. Paul, Republican Convention,Country First

Well the GOP in St.Paul so far has me tripping!
Country First, war war, terrorism, more war, war heros, patriots, apple pie and bullshit!
In 2004 these folks made war heros out to be zeros.
Hypocrites to the max.
And I think I only saw one Black face, besides the former NFL widereceiver Lynn Swann.
Are you kidding me? I guess Lynn is running for some polical office? Good luck.
Don't get me wrong. But this fuking GOP party seemed like a modern day klan event.
I was almost suprised they were wavin flags and not burning crosses! lololol...
It just didn't connect with me and don't think it was intended to.
Barack. I think u need to do some talkin to Mr. Thompson.
The intro video was a prime example of the minds of these folks.
They hooted and hollared for Reagan and Bush I, however MLK and Rosa Parks didn't get a peep of an applause.
Shit. They are sooooooooooooooo outta touch, some of them, that they may have been dazed and confused and thought to themselves, " Who's this kinda Black woman on a bus?"
My point is.
The GOP is not about the people, they are about their people.
Country first, my ass!!!!!
GOP last!!!!!!!!

artikleblak update: July 28 2008 Black in America CNN
Black in America on CNN.
Greetings all. I haven't been bloggin lately.
However I thought I should reachout and give my 2 cent on this hyped up segment by CNN "Black in America."
Quite honestly, I only watched some of it.
I think CNN gave a one dimensional view of what it is to be Black in America.
They gave us a bunch of negative stats and stories from 60% children have single parent households to colorism within Black America itself.
There was not a lot of substance to why and causes for.
Which put a slight sour taste in my mouth.
I think Soledad O 'Brien did a great job.
However with all the hype and all people from all walks of life tuning in.
I would have like to have seen Michael Dyson explain to folks about why "colorism" is alive and well in Black America today!
What about slavery and the Willie Lynch papers? The house nigger, field nigger syndrome? The conquer and divide? The rip these families apart by the auction blocks?
CNN if ya' gonna tell truth, tell the whole truth, so help u God!Black in America is so so so much more! Turn on your TV and see Mr. Barack Obama standing in front of 215,000 plus Germans in Berlin. Who love him!
The negative stats just feed the minds of uneducated folk all across this land, the stereotype of thug, hoe, pimp, poor, lazy, thief. All of which exist across all color line, but somehow are placed as the negative nouns and adjective which descibe Black folks.
Even with all that said. I believe change is truly upon this country.
I believe Mr. Barack Obama is the catalyst to that change.
Americans are waking up and realizing that: "We are all threads in the fabric of American life and American culture. And it is those threads which hold this country together.
I am artikleblak and I'll be back.
